Bhāva is the sanskrit word for feeling, emotion, mood or a devotional state of mind. Every Friday night at Abhaya offers a full, flowing, asana practice with live music that will be sure to set a sweet mood and vibe for the weekend. We have DJ’s, drummers, sitar players, kirtan singers, string instrumentalists, and more coming to extend their special talents while students cultivate self surrender and bliss.

Join us for a special holiday edition of Kirtan, followed by a vegetarian Friendsgiving potluck! Kirtan is “call and response” chanting, meant to open our hearts and minds and inspire a feeling of “Bhakti” or devotion. Keely, Aaron and James make this practice accessible and inviting by providing sheets with the words for each chant. With the support of musical instruments and our own voices we will sing sweet, simple chants accessible to all. No experience needed; all are welcome.
